Lee: You approached me about this project and I find it very useful and very helpful. Especially, with what I dealt with as a police officer. I’m pretty sure you’ve dealt with the same thing with missing children and adults. Including, people who don’t like leaving hospitals and senior homes and stuff like that. Then we are out there driving around for hours looking for them. It’s definitely very tiring and stuff to be canvassing in and out the buildings. They drive around doing that while responding to the radio still.
Galego: The one thing that we always notice is that when a parent, you can tell the desperation and then you feel it. You feel their energy, and that makes you worry so much that you go out and you kind of take the job very personal. You say I really want this child to be found. Above all, I hope that I can just make them happy. I actually did find children and when I brought them together it felt like a huge weight lifted. If we couldn’t find them you just felt that.
Lee: One of the first things that we do is search their home. This way we make sure they are not hiding in the closet or on the roof. I think with your technology, you can track right away like this person’s not here. Certainly, they’re wearing the shirt, and they can’t remove the device, which is very important. In addition, a lot of kids sometimes feel embarrassed and they don’t like to wear it and try to remove it.
Part 2
Galego: I’m in a public park, and I can’t find my child. Now you’re here and you have two kids or one kid, but they were distracted one way or another. If they had an alert, some sort of system that would tell them, just tell them, lookup. I think that’s what actually becomes beneficial. That’s why we started thinking, the alert system is one of the first things to do. As you know, time is at the exits.
Lee: Similarly, we always ask, “what time did you know they were missing?”, and “when were they last seen?” and stuff like that. Time is definitely a big factor when looking for somebody. We also calculate how far they have gone out. I was looking at some of your shirts and it looks nice. That’s something totally my daughter would wear, so it’s very fashionable too I think. It’s not like it is going to stand out and say, “Hey, I’m wearing a tracking device” you know. In hospitals, we get a lot of missing patients from hospitals. Patients just walk out and stuff like that. We have to look for them. If this was implemented in hospitals and schools, I think it would help a lot with child safety, and bring that number down even more.
Part 3
Lee: We live in a different world, so privacy is a big thing. I think a lot of these things like they look amazing. I mean if you didn’t tell me about the chip or where it was, I wouldn’t even know. What makes you guys great with this is that it makes it covert. It’s very private and it doesn’t put a sign on them they, “Hey, look I’m wearing a device.”
Galego: There’s no astigmatism. Nothing is saying you should feel embarrassed. We just want to make sure the parent is safe and has an extra tool. That’s what B’ZT wanted. We want to give the parent the tool. Let them have the alert system because we all know that we get distracted. If somebody walks out of the house and they need something to just give them an alert. Once again, thank you very much from B’ZT.
